Boknay
Another post! I have time away from school, finally! So what is Boknay? Nursing students may be familiar to this term. Its a term for the hairstyle applied by female Nursing students, you know, the hair tightly wrapped in a round bun. So why is that my title for this post? School year 2008-2009 has begun and I'm a first year student once again. I have just shifted from IT to Nursing which is no surprise because I have already explained that on another post. So I will be posting about my new experience as a Nursing student.
Nothing much has changed, except my uniform which is really evident. I check the mirror to see a strong individual or is that just my eyebags are getting deeper. Whatever it was that made it feel unusual, it struck me and I felt so brand new. I was excited to actually go to a new school? That was quite ironic. When I was in high school I dreaded transferring, but now I seemed to like the idea. I was nostalgic in recalling all those times where I was bullied in high school because I was a transferee. But now, its different, I had confidence. I can talk to people already and voice out my opinions in public. Gah! That was in high school, of course I changed! And for the better too! Thank God!
I was dressed for it. The bright white dress nurses wear. I had my schedule on my right and my bag on my left, I felt nervous but I was thrilled. And I entered the gates of a new school, maybe a new start. I was looking forward to new things and I was open for all. As I entered the Medical Studies building, also called "Allied" building, the lady security guard halted me and told me to stop where I was. What did I do? Was something wrong? Then I remembered, I needed to tie my hair into a boknay. G
