Life and Drama
Life is so full of drama!
J-drama and K-drama that is!
I am a BIG fan of anime and manga, I love the art and I love the stories that go along with it. But what about dramas? I am not a big fan of Koreanovelas or Korean drama series that are shown on TV, mainly because I can't appreciate the real emotions expressed because of the voice dubbing. I think voice dubbing ruins the real intensity of the show. The only Korean TV series that got me hooked was Princess Hours, it was comedic and funny at the same time it was full of romance. Tracing back its roots, Princess Hours was an adaptation of the famous manhwa (Korean manga) "Goong" which literally means "palace". I can also name out several Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese TV dramas which originated from manga and anime stories. The ever popular Boys Over Flowers, a Korean adaptation, originated from the famous Shoujo manga of the same name, in Japanese "Hana Yori Dango". All of them came from my passion which is ANIME and MANGA. I decided to try dramas or as they call it "live-action." Not only those ho are based from mangas but other ones as well.
• A Moment to Remember (left)
Korean Movie 2004
Ah... This movie is a definite tear-jearker! I've already watched it 5 times and I still cry like someone died. MY EYES ARE SO SWOLLEN AFTER. /sob The whole 2 hours was awesome. This is the first ever Korean movie that I watched and I'm glad I did. This movie urged me to watch more drama series!
"What will you do if your memory is lost? Memory is, after all, a part of the soul. When memory fades, so does the soul." This movie is about Kim Su Jin and Choi Chul Soo and their undying love for each other. This movie demonstrates how far love would go for the sake of the other, also known as sacrifice. Its very touching, its so hard not to cry! I'd recommend this to all, even if you're not a fan of Asian dramas. This film will leave a lasting impression on you. I LOVE THIS FILM! Five stars! ★
• Koizora "Sky of Love" (right)
Japanese Movie 2007
I JUST WATCHED THIS TODAY! Thanks to my friend and fellow otaku, Chelsea! *hug* This movie inspired me to write this blog entry. I also cried watching this film. I'M A CRYBABY, I get it. TAT
A love that is like the sky, vast and never ending... That is how Hiro Sakurai loves Mika Tahara. For Mika to be happy, Hiro tries to shove her away because of his condition. But love finds a way to make separated lovers become one again. In this film I got mixed emotions, I dunno whether to cry or be angry at Hiro. This film is a bit cliche, but its charm is still alluring. VERY GOOD MOVIE~
Can anyone suggest more titles? I'd love to watch more!
Its already 12:07 here, I need to sleep~ I just wanted to blabber on how much I love to watch these kinds of movies. ^____^
Going to sleep now! CIAO!
